On my mind...

FOR TODAY...

November 2, 2009

Outside my window...has the characterization of dullness and montony. It is cheerless. The skies lack interest which in turn causes weariness. I'm in a cheerful mood aren't I?

I am thinking...getting a tape recorder to record key phrases I say every day. "Too close to the television", "Eat your fruit", "Don't pick on your brother", "Don't tell me no", "You've already gone potty 10 times", etc.

I am thankful for... cheese sticks. Easy healthy snacks that I like, too.

I am wearing...a pair of levis, a university of michigan hoodie, day old white socks, pink Detroit Tigers ball cap, and a smile (well sort of).

I am remembering...that I should have gotten allergy medicine while I was at the store today.

I am creating...stories and poetry. I'm on a roll!

I am going...to make brownies, apple turnovers, cherry turnovers, and spinach artichoke dip for my first book club meeting on Sunday. I can't wait! Especially since I have a small menu planned.
I am reading...The time Traveler's wife. I'm hosting next months book club at my home. I can't wait!

I am hoping...that Nick comes home in a decent mood even though he seemed stressed while on the phone today.
On my mind...Synthesizers!

Noticing that...I need to lose 10 pounds to get back to 130.

Pondering these words...Silly things do cease to be silly if they are done by sensible people in an impudent way. -Jane Austen (1775 - 1817), Emma
From the kitchen...Leftover hot roast beef, gravy, stuffing, steamed broccoli, and rolls fresh with butter. I'm not sure what I'm doing for dessert.
Around the house...effort in vain.

One of my favorite things...grande carmel macchiatos. Not venti, grande, because I don't need that much heaven. I'm a simple girl. I'm restrained! (barely)

A few plans for the rest of the week...Chick flicks with mom either Wednesday or Thursday. Nick is leaving for his weekly Ohio business trip so I'll be sending up a prayer for safe travels. Friday I have a parent group meeting with Anthony's preschool and then Sunday I have my book club meeting.
